ARNAC brings together three closely connected parts of the research: the study of computational models of movement, the reconstruction of ancient road networks through mapping, and the investigation of travelling as a lived and culturally meaningful experience. The results are evaluated through comparison with ground-truth data, archaeological evidence, and recorded walks undertaken in the Cretan landscape.
